Who we are

Cogworks Media is the DBA of Cogworks Creative Media Company, a Colorado 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 99-1876358). This policy covers cogworksmedia.org and the forms, email list, and giving page linked from it.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, through:

• The Contact form — your name, email, and message.
• The Share a Story form — your name, email, which show you're writing about, your story, and whether you've given permission for us to share it publicly.
• The Voices application form — your name, ministry background, what you'd like to teach, and your best contact info.
• Our email list — your email address, if you choose to subscribe for new episode updates.
• Giving — if you give through our Donorbox page, your payment details are collected and processed entirely by Donorbox. We never see or store your card information; we only receive confirmation that a gift was made and the information needed to send a receipt.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics on this site, which is cookie-less and does not track individual visitors or collect personal information — it only gives us aggregate numbers like page views.

How we use it

We use the information above to respond to your message, follow up on a Voices application, send the emails you signed up for, and — only with your explicit permission — feature your story on the site or elsewhere. We don't use your information for anything beyond what you contacted us for.

Third-party services

We rely on a few outside services to run this site, and each has its own privacy practices:

• Donorbox — processes donations.
• Mailchimp — manages our email list.
• Transistor — hosts our podcast audio and feeds.
• Cloudflare — provides site security, delivery, and cookie-less analytics.

These services may set their own cookies or collect their own data when you interact with their embedded forms or players (for example, the Donorbox giving form). Their own privacy policies, linked above, govern that data.

We don't sell your information

We're a small ministry, not an advertising business. We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our email list at any time using the link in any email. To ask what information we have about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, reach out through our Contact page.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted here.
